Trained in Graphic Design and Advertising Creativity, the Valencian artist Agustín Esteso has worked for more than 15 years in the fields of design and illustration, having developed in parallel his personal projects always linked to artistic production. His most recent work is inspired by the ancient technique of hand-forged iron, approached from a contemporary perspective. By combining cut, folded and forged pieces, he gives life to a series of solid and elegant sculptures that exhibit a perfect balance between the contemporary and the traditional. 

 

His creations are halfway between naïf, the most primary figuration and pure aesthetics. Sometimes clumsy, sometimes formal, his discourse walks between the abstract and the figurative. Resoundingly contemporary, his sculptural figures have an aesthetic of their own, the result of the knowledge acquired by the artist throughout his career in different fields such as design, illustration, ceramics or photography.
