Paula Blanco (Oviedo, 1996) is a visual artist graduated in Fine Arts from the University of Salamanca in 2020. She understands her practice as a constant research, creating new processes that allow her to build light and organic pieces.

 

Blanco's pieces are based on a constant desire for research, developing increasingly specific methods to approach “the original”. Although he starts from painting, his work has become increasingly installation-based, becoming sculptural as he builds structures that accompany the veils of color he has been working on for years. He places special emphasis on the importance of plastic language as a means of expression in itself. Through it, she seeks to achieve unity, creating different forms, sculptures or beings that simultaneously recall an insect, the sky, a flower or a stool. processes that allow her to build light and organic pieces.
